Michael Cuddyer
Michael Cuddyer was a first round draft pick out of Great Bridge high school in Chesapeake Virginia in 1997.  Mike has now settled into the outfield and is batting in the four spot for the Minnesota Twins protecting American League batting leader Joe Mauer.  Cuddyer just had his most successful year in major league baseball leading his team in runs scored and doubles and boasts a .362 on base percentage and 109 RBI’s.  Cuddyer was coached by Townsend and his hitting discs and brings his endorsement and his own set of drills to the instructional DVD.  Watch Michael's video

David Wright
David Wright’s very first hitting lesson was with coach Townsend and he also played on his first traveling AAU team.  David has now become a National League all-star and runner up in the 2006 home run derby contest.  Wright also helped the New York Mets reach the playoffs by hitting .311, 26 home runs and 116 RBI’s.  David also endorses the Hitting Disc and joins Cuddyer with his own set of drills and hitting tips on the DVD to help young hitters better themselves at the plate.. Gary Lavelle
Gary Lavelle has a 13 year major league career with the Giants, Blue Jays and A’s where he posted a lifetime ERA of 2.93.  Lavelle was a free agent out of high school and signed with the San Francisco Giants.  After 7 years in the minor leagues, Lavelle broke into the majors and was selected to the national league all stars in 1977 and 1983.  Lavelle’s Giants record of all time appearances was recently broken by closer Rob Nenn.  Lavelle coached for 5 years in the New York Yankees organization before becoming head coach at Greenbrier Christian Academy. Matt Smith
Matt Smith was a free agent signee with the Texas Rangers in 2005.  After his senior season at Virginia Military Institute where Matt was a 2004 first team all Big South player, Smith’s name litters his college’s record books.  He left VMI with 218 hits, 38 stolen bases - 5th all time, 208 games in his career, and 753 at bats – the most in school history.  He spent the summer of 2005 at the Rangers Arizona rookie-league team and was promoted to the Clinton Lumber Kings single A team for the remainder of the 2005 schedule.
